Kaleo Kids Parent Survival Guide

Coming to a new church for the first time is hard. Coming to a new church for the first time with kids…I can’t even imagine.

Knowing that an upset child would result in an embarrassed parent and that embarrassed parent might be visiting St. Mattress and not Kaleo the next week, I worked with Sue, the Children’s Ministry Director at Kaleo, to create the Sunday Morning Parent Survival Guide.

Kaleo loves kids even when they interrupt the sermon by yelling “I need to pee pee” and even when they join the band on stage to “help out” with worship. So, since there is a sense of humor when it comes to kids, I decided to go a little tongue-and-cheek with this piece.

I used the “Worst Case Scenario” books as inspiration for the cover. While Kaleo does not have the resources to spend the amount of time it would take to illustrate the content of this book like the content of the “Worst Case Scenario” books, the cover gets the theme across quite well.
